Musiccareer: Közi in Tokyo: Közi joined several groups were he did little things; Girl-E and beyond the reinsight (1980). Not much later Közi was asked to be a supporting member and Közi recommended Mana-sama too (Matenrou was the name of the band). The band broke up really soon, but Közi thinks they made some important pieces in this band. When the band disbanded Közi and Mana-sama started to talk about Malice Mizer. They wanted to create something original, they searched for something which is lurking deep inside the human mind and also the question 'what is human' was very important. And as you can guess; Malice Mizer was born! Malice Mizer: So Mana-sama and Közi formed Malice Mizer. Malice Mizer is the human nature according to Mana-sama (Malice is French for evil and Mizer for misery/tragedy). Közi first had a really 'choking' guitar sound but changed it around the Merveilles album. This is because he quit composing with a guitar when he bought a keyboard. He used really easy stuff because he's so bad with machines. He said Kami even had to fix his stereo! However, he was the first one in Malice Mizer who had a computer! After Malice Mizer: When Malice Mizer disbanded in 2001 (though they called it 'hiatus') Közi went his own way. He joined Haruhiko Ash on a solo project, a gothic-industrial band (Eye of Destiny), they're famous for their performances abroad and they played on various gothic-festivals.
Közi also started his own soloproject. In 2002 he worked together with the Japanese author Minako, Közi made the soundtracks to the novel 十六夜の月 (izayoi no tsuki). The album has a pretty scary sound. His first album which was made only and only by him was KHAOS/KINEMA. His style now is more gothic and darker, though he still uses doll-like things in his performances. 22 september 2008 I can not tell you how happy I was when I heard about this! Közi is back! He formed, together with Satoshi (vocals), Atsushi (bass) and Fuchi (drums), DALLE. October 18th they played their first live. More happy news about this will be here as soon as possible!
