Hobbies: Drawing, designing women's clothing and reading manga's. Fears: Maybe it's weird for an artist but.. Gambling, alcohol and tabacco (though he smokes >_<") Other funny facts: * The first thing Yu-ki does when he wakes up is eating chocolat (he likes strawberry-flavoured Caprico the most) and eat vitamin jelly. * On stage he often wears orange and yellow clothes. * He sees the other MM members as goodnatured rivals, though according to him, his greatest rival is himself. * About woman: he first looks at the whole atmosphere around a woman. Then he looks at her breasts (boys ^^"). He thinks it's sexy when a woman has a very light skin colour, close to transparant. Yu-ki talks about women pretty much ^_^ He once said any women is ok, as long as she is over 3 years old o_0 
* The people he respects most are his parents. Especially when he got his own home, he realised what they had done for him! * Yu-ki likes casual clothing. He has two types of clothing: suits and second-handed. He buys clothes everywhere, as long as he likes it. * Yu-ki doesn't really care about what cosmetics he uses. He knows what he wants to look like, and thinks he can use everything to reach that. * Yu-ki relaxes most in a bathub, but we may not know what his favourite hot spring place is. He's afraid that it will get crowded then. * Yu-ki always plays the scary roles! He plays a.o. Dracula and bats. * When Malice Mizer had no vocalist, they were so desperate that they asked Yu-ki to sing! ^o^ * During vacation Yu-ki would probably travel or play eccentric instruments * Because of his stage fright Kami once run from the stage while Yu-ki was talking ---> Yu-ki also has stage firght and was left alone shaking and stammering (poor guy ^_^). * The first song Yu-ki composed was in kindergarten "I want to live in a chocolat house". xD * Yu-ki has drawn comics of Malice Mizer for magazines. He loves to draw but sais he's not very good at it. Yu-ki's live: When Yu-ki was young he liked to listen to populair music and action movies with a.o. Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee. So he also liked the soundtrack of those movies. He liked those characters so much that he would imitate them and climb on roofs, etc. He also made stuff what looked liked stuff from the movies. The coffin, for example, which is used in the early Malice Mizer days, was made by Yu-ki! In junior-high Yu-ki started to listen to Rock 'nd Roll. He also got interested in fashion, he liked to wear unusual clothes with the colours black, brown and grey.  After entering high school Yu-ki started to play bass. He was inspired by Checkers and one of his friends bought a sax. Around that time Yu-ki started playing in a band. The band played copies from other Japanese bands, they came together in the home of one of the members and played. However, they made so much noice (they had very big drums) that the police came twice. When they came in the 2nd year of high school they started to make original pieces. They weren't really serious, they where just happy when they were together playing and eating candies. They had all the time of the world...
After winning some prices the band got more serious. They felt more confident in theirself. Yu-ki's parents told him to get a job in his hometown, but he found another job in Tokyo which convinced them to let him go to Tokyo. He got a job with the band's drummer. An old friend of him let him stay in his apartment. In Tokyo he learned to know dark music. Yu-ki thinks those music helped him develop his music-senses.It made him think about the relationship between him and human. Because nobody knew how to promote the band they brought tapes to livehouses. The band used to play beat-rock, but changed their style to the music they listend and their enviroment. Since they went to Tokyo they where positive-punk, wearing a lot of black costumes. Though the concept of the band was dark, their music was really easy to listen to. Yu-ki met Malice Mizer when Mana-sama came to one of their concerts. He asked him to play bass in Malice Mizer. The first impression Yu-ki got rom Mana-sama and Közi was that they were really interesting. They could make him play different music. A bass requires stableness but Közi and Mana-sama made him produce unexpectable sounds. Yu-ki wants to produce music which only he can create. He wants his music to be self-convincing and wants to express himself through it. It is very important for Yu-ki that the fans know he is not Malice Mizer but he is Yu-ki! Which means he is himself! He wants to surprise the audience ánd the other members.  His ambitions in Malice Mizer was explore new sounds. An ambition for himself is to explore more than bass. He wants to create a new world with new sounds.
However, music is not the center of Yu-ki's life. Music makes him relax or feel positive. What he's looking for are sounds. It wasn't clear to him if he and Malice Mizer searched for the same sounds, but they were seeking. It made him think he was going forward. ^_^ Yu-ki wanted to go beyond being a musican. But before he would reach that he wanted to mix his world with the worlds of the other members. When Malice Mizer went on hiatus Yu-ki helped Közi writing the song Memento in 2004. But besides that we heard nothing from him anymore. ;_; |
